FAQ - general information about our classes, getting started and how to get the best from your yoga class
All classes at the school are 90 minutes long unless otherwise shown on the timetable.
Please get to the studio a little early as classes start on time.
In preparation for sharing the class and for the class to be an act of mindfulness and calm, please don't talk or make noise before the class.
Your body should feel free while moving, so loose, comfortable clothing such as shorts and a t-shirt are recommended.
Choose fabrics that allow the skin to breathe freely, such as cotton.
In the winter months, lightweight tracksuit pants or leggings are usually worn.
Classes are taken barefoot.
Change rooms are available but if you're changing on arrival, please give yourself enough time to start the class with everyone else, on time.
Please observe quiet in the change rooms in preparation for the class.
Our studio has cooling for the summer months and warmth in winter.
Mats and all other necessary equipment are provided by the School. However, for hygiene purposes, we suggest you purchase your own
mat, especially if you intend to practice regularly (either at the school, at home or while travelling).
Mats are available for sale at the school.
If you have any injuries or medical conditions, you are pregnant or menstruating please inform your teacher before the class begins.
Yoga should be practised on an empty stomach and bladder.
It's best to wait approximately 2 hours after a light snack, or 4 hours after a heavy meal, before taking your class.
The school stocks a range of books and yoga mats from LovEarth and SecondEarth; organic cotton bolsters from Stretch Now, as well as foam blocks and belts that you can buy from us.
